The purpose of the National Student Speech Language Hearing Association (NSSLHA) is to encourage personal and professional interest among college students in the study of normal and disordered human communication behavior. On Saturday, April 11th from 2-5pm, NSSLHA will be supporting the University of Maryland Autism Research Consortium for April is Autism Awareness month. The film, The Story of Luke, will be shown at UMD's Hoff Theater. Following the movie, a panel discussion will be held. The panel will be comprised of professionals who work with children with autism and family members of children with autism. The panelists will describe their experiences with autism and then field questions from the audience specifically pertaing to what happens to the audlt individual with autism.
