Title: The Behavioral Challenges of Poverty Contexts
Abstract: The talk will consider various behavioral challenges that arise in contexts of poverty, from attentional and bandwidth demands, to stereotypes, societal narratives, and a variety of obstacles. Informed by this, we will briefly consider some implications for the tension between empirical social science and the role of intuition in the conduct of policy.
