We conduct 1-day workshops for friends and family members of persons with aphasia, and anyone else who communicates frequently with persons with aphasia. These workshops are run by Speech-Language Pathologists (Dr. Yasmeen Faroqi-Shah & Ms. Kristin Slawson) with assistance from graduate and undergraduate students at the Department of Hearing and Speech Sciences. We combine  research evidence and clinical expertise in planning these workshops. We are currently collecting outcomes data to measure the effectiveness of these workshops.
