We are pleased to welcome Dr. Vatsun Sadagopan from the University of Pittsburgh, who will be visiting the department on Tuesday, July 22, 2025. Dr. Sadagopan will present a seminar titled: "Auditory Cortical Computations for Robust Vocalization Recognition"

Dr. Sadagopan’s research focuses on the neural mechanisms underlying auditory perception, with a particular emphasis on how the brain processes complex vocalizations in noisy environments. You can learn more about his work by visiting his lab website.

Dr. Sadagopan is available for individual or small-group meetings throughout the day. If you are interested in scheduling time to meet with him, please contact jzsimon [at] umd.edu

We encourage all faculty, students, and researchers with interests in auditory neuroscience, cortical processing, or computational modeling to attend.
