Nancy Forsythe will give a lecture titled, "Autism and Workplace Inclusion."
This workshop will provide data on the college experience of individuals on the autism spectrum and employment of individuals on the autism spectrum. It will also address what employers are doing to increase inclusion of people with autism in the workplace, and what families and other allies can do to strengthen employment prospects of people with autism. Following the lecture, there will be a discussion of issues and questions that self-advocates and allies have about college, employment, and workplace inclusion.
About the speaker: Nancy Forsythe, MA, is the Career Development Specialist at the University of Maryland Career Center. In this role, she supports students with disabilities in career preparation, job search, and on-boarding processes. She also has a background in social science research and vocational rehabilitation.
