Applications are now open for SIGNA's Fall 2026 undergraduate leadership opportunities. The application deadline is April 13th, 2026. 

SIGNA Peer Coaches

Open to juniors and seniors only, this role offers 3 credit hours and a grade. Peer Coaches lead weekly 90 minute group sessions on Fridays, must be available from 1:45-4:00pm, attend weekly staff meetings on Fridays from 12:00-1:00pm, and help plan four social events each semester. Events are usually held in person, but may also be virtual or hybrid. 

SIGNA Peer Mentors

Open to sophomores, juniors, and seniors, this role offers 2 credit hours and a grade. Peer Mentors are paired with a UMD SIGNA member to support generalization and carryover of skills taught in the group. Mentors participate in weekly Friday group instruction from 2:00-3:30pm or 4:00-5:00pm, attend weekly staff meetings on Fridays from 12:00-1:00pm, and hold individual one-hour weekly check-in meetings with their mentee.
