We are thrilled to congratulate Angelina Bilokon on being selected as a recipient of the New Century Scholars Doctoral Scholarship from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Foundation (ASHA Foundation). This prestigious award supports outstanding doctoral students in communication sciences and disorders who are committed to pursuing careers as teacher-investigators in higher education.
Angelina’s work already stands out: she holds a clinical doctorate in audiology (Au.D.) and is currently a Ph.D. student in Hearing and Speech Sciences at the University of Maryland, College Park. Her research explores how age, sex as a biological variable, binaural hearing, temporal processing, and cochlear implants interact. She brings extensive clinical training from the National Institutes of Health/NIDCD, broad experience in audiometric and vestibular assessments, and a strong commitment to mentoring undergraduate and graduate students.
Her selection for the New Century Scholars award is a well-deserved recognition of her dedication to advancing the science of hearing and supporting the next generation of audiologists and researchers. Congratulations, Angelina!
