Congratulations to REACH students Gerald Tabe (co-mentored by Samira Anderson and Matthew Goupell) and Stella Alumonah (mentored by Jonathan Simon) on their acceptance into the Association for Research in Otolaryngology (ARO) Scholars program. We’re proud of their hard work and excited to see what they accomplish next.
The Association for Research in Otolaryngology (ARO), together with its Development, Mentorship, and Advancement Committee (DMAC), has launched a new program that supports undergraduate students interested in research in Otolaryngology, Audiology, Hearing and Balance Sciences, or Auditory Neuroscience. The initiative provides students with the chance to conduct summer research under the guidance of a faculty mentor and to attend the 2026 ARO MidWinter Meeting, where they may present their work.
Participants selected for the ARO Scholars program receive a $2,500 stipend to support their summer research experience and an additional $2,500 to support travel to the MidWinter Meeting. The goal of the program is to nurture future auditory scientists and strengthen the pipeline of researchers dedicated to advancing ARO’s mission.
Congratulations again to Gerald and Stella!
