The University of Maryland (UMD) Department of Hearing and Speech Sciences (HESP) is hiring a part-time (.40FTE) audiologist to provide services in the HESP Clinic. The audiologist will provide direct services in the evaluation and management of hearing loss in patients of all ages. Opportunities for providing specialty services (tinnitus, sound sensitivity, implantable devices) are also available. There is strong potential for contributing towards the establishment of new clinical initiatives, participating in clinical outreach and/or research projects, presenting at professional conferences, and collaborating with other professionals across the UM campuses and/or the local community.
Minimum qualifications include:
- Doctorate in Audiology (AuD)
- Maryland licensure (or eligibility for MD licensure)
- Board certification in Audiology (ASHA, AAA, ABA)
- Experience working with individuals from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds
- Excellent technical report writing skills, organization, and time management
- Strong team player, but can work independently
Preferred:
- Experience working with pediatric patients and their families
- Interest in providing specialty services or contributing to community outreach
