Another Note on Plagiarism: Code of Academic Integrity
The University of Maryland, College Park has a nationally recognized Code of Academic Integrity, administered by the Student Honor Council. This Code sets standards for academic integrity at Maryland for all undergraduate and graduate students. All students in the HESP program are responsible for upholding these standards. It is very important for you to be aware of the consequences of cheating, fabrication, facilitation, and plagiarism.
When writing papers for courses or for independent research projects, please be mindful to avoid plagiarism. Several of the resources available on this page (above) are intended to help students avoid plagiarism, including a recommended text. Please consult with course instructors or academic/research advisors if you have questions.
